"Our Water, Our World" - Healthy Gardening Techniques. Learn how to miniimze the use of pesticides and herbicides and preserve water quality! The class will be taught by Debi Tidd, Education Director at The Gardens at Heather Farm in Walnut Creek. She'll cover IPM (Integrated Pest Management) techniques, explain how to identify both pests and beneficial insects and go over water-wise gardening, composting, vermiculture and how to select native plants and create wildlife habitats. You'll leave with a resource binder, a bug ID guide and some plants.
