Full Description:

Saturday, August 26 / 9 am - 12 pm "Our Water, Our World" - Healthy Gardening Techniques. Learn how to miniimze the use of pesticides and herbicides and preserve water quality! The class will be taught by Debi Tidd, Education Director at The Gardens at Heather Farm in Walnut Creek. She'll cover IPM (Integrated Pest Management) techniques, explain how to identify both pests and beneficial insects and go over water-wise gardening, composting, vermiculture and how to select native plants and create wildlife habitats. You'll leave with a resource binder, a bug ID guide and some plants. PRE RESISTRATION IS REQUESTED Class held at the Nipomo Community Services District Office 148 South Wilson Street, Nipomo CA (1/2 mile East of the Tefft St. exit) This series sponsored by Nipomo Community Services District in collaboration with Farm Supply Company, Nipomo Old Town Nursery, SLO County Partners for Water Quality and Our Water, Our World.
